ImageWebb Motorsports was established in August, 2002 to determine and provide the best available MINI aftermarket products with performance in mind. We realize that each MINI owner may have different goals for their car, so we have tested several different product lines to determine what each item's strengths are. This allows us to build systems specifically designed to meet the customer's needs.  In May of 2005, we added the Lotus Elise/Exige to the line up, and continue to apply the same philosophy to the Lotus products.

The Owner of Webb Motorsports is Randy Webb. Randy started in the automotive industry at the age of 14 as a "petroleum transfer engineer" - he pumped gas - at the local British car shop. Eventually, he became an apprentice mechanic in the small northern New Jersey town, and learned to despise Lucas electrics. A customer who owned a Triumph and a 1962 Porsche 356B Super 90 brought the Porsche into the shop one day to have some work done, and Randy fell in love with German engineering that very day.

From there, Randy decided to pursue a job with an exclusively Porsche shop. He started with Doug Arnao at Vehicle Craft Inc. and was soon recommended for a position with Promotion Motorsports, owned by Peter Dawe (Mark Donanhue's mechanic from the glory days of CanAm). After learning an immense amount about the hot rodding capacity that Porsches contain, Randy was offered a job with Black Forest Racing in south Florida. It was here that he became a true fabricator, working as a crew member, and racing himself, in all forms of Porsche motorsport - SCCA GT-2, GT-3, Vintage, EP, ITA, and IMSA.

Then Randy discovered flying, and started researching different Universities. The discipline that came from being slightly "older" than his other fellow students allowed him to graduate Magna cum Laude, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the foremost school in Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation related disciplines, with a Bachelor of Science degree. While he was in school, Randy kept a small side business working on Porsches in the Daytona area.  Randy is also currently a pilot for United Airlines, and has flown the Boeing 727, 737 and 757.

After the release of the new MINI, Randy found the car he had always dreamed would be made; the cheeky styling of a British car combined with the incredible engineering of the Germans. He sold his faithful 914-6 (with a Carrera engine he had shoehorned into it) and bought a Chili Red MINI Cooper S.  This car evolved into the infamous "Mule", and was campaigned in several motorsports series, usually winning.  At the model year change in 2007, another MINI Cooper S, in R56 guise, was purchased for development, this time in Chili Red with a Black roof instead of the traditional White.

Of course, no other car comes closer in design to Randy's first love (the 914) than the Lotus Elise.  Sure it is still British, but what a wonderful car! After the long wait from the dealership, Webb Motorsports finally procured an Elise to develop a new line of Lotus parts.  While this doesn't replace the MINI in Randy's heart, it certainly holds a special place.

At the start of Webb Motorsports, Randy began a pilgrimage to help MINI owners in their quest for power by visiting cities across the country to do what have become affectionately known as "pulley parties". To date, Randy has done more supercharger pulley installations than any other tuner in the world - over 1000 and counting. He has been to West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Sebring, Cincinatti, Columbus, Hartford, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Rockford, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Richmond, Chicago, Providence, Washington DC, Portland, St. Louis, Phoenix, Portland, Albuquerque, Kansas City, Baltimore, Lexington and Detroit, and continues to visit more cities around the country at the occasional MINI Venue.

Webb Motorsports is happy to provide you with the experience and knowledge Randy has gathered from his eclectic and colorful past.
